In an article by Miranda Hitti which was published this month on Oprah.com, new research again supports the fact that the very ancient technique of using
mantras, found in every spiritual tradition and practice, can help with stress reduction and may help cut stress altogether.The researchers studied more than 60 people over a
period of five weeks, as well as the different techniques they had as individuals for choosing and using their mantras, and more. Their results and the tips they yeild for those who use mantras were quite
amazing. As one researcher put it: "We found this to be a very valuable tool for people that they can use," Bormann tells WebMD. "It's like a pause button for the mind."
