Mantras' original design was to carry items that would enhance one's environmental health and engage one's physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual energies, because it is believed that the flow of positive energy, known as chi, facilitates a balance of mind, body, and spirit.

Although Mantras is not solely a "new age," "metaphysical," or "feng shui" store, it is by design that we carry items which integrate earth, metal, water, wood, and fire which provide the foundation for ZEN. ZEN is defined as the intentional practice of harmonious and balanced living with the world around us, and each of the five elements supports and strengthens another for productive, beneficial cycles of health and wealth, peace and prosperity, love and harmony.
